One way the Agency monitors Medicaid health plan performance is through Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures. HEDIS measures are developed by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), which develops quality standards and performance measures for a broad range of health care entities.
Florida Medicaid health plans are required to submit their audited and certified HEDIS performance measures annually.
